Divided Worlds
Looks like that closure might not be so permanent!
Having taken a piece of advice left by an anonymous visitor to the C-Box, I have placed an ad on ProBoards Support and hope to see an influx of new members in the near future. If this works, the icing on the cake would definitely be to see some of our original members return; especially those from the previous sites and those whose characters are important to the storyline, though I will most likely be deleting permanently inactive accounts and, if they are for canon characters, be putting those characters up for adoption.
I sense a serious revamping coming up, ladies and gentlemen. I hope to God we can revive Divided Worlds - and I want you all to be a part of it.

Although the Ravenclaw was typically proud of it, today it seemed that Nkechi's hair was more trouble than it was worth. She glanced over her shoulder, hazel eyes quickly scanning the breadth of the Quidditch pitch. It wasn't that she was terribly vain, but there was an element of pride when it came to doing some menial task that could be done simply with magic.
However, ever since she had done some magical repairs after that idiot Hufflepuff's Potions catastrophe, her 'fro had developed some surprising qualities. It was rejecting all sorts of magic, even those spells to which it had once been really familiar. So here she was, tying her hair back into plaits by hand in the shadows of the commentator's tower. And nobody, as far as Nkechi could tell, saw.
The tiny seventh year jammed a helmet over her braided mane and began the next part of her operation--the last one involving stealth, thank Merlin. She loped over to the closet containing the school brooms and placed her wand tip to the padlock, murmuring a stream of incantations that grew nearly song-like. The locks had been charmed against Alohomora, but one could still brute-force pick the pins, and Nkechi had always been good with locks.
The lock clicked open, falling into her right hand with satisfying heft, when Nkechi sensed the light change behind her. It wasn't a cloud covering the sun, either. She'd been discovered. Oh... Nkechinyere's mind sputtered weakly. Balls. Not only had she been caught stealing... well, borrowing, sincerely... from the school, it would be revealed that the Keeper hopeful couldn't afford her own broom. Quick, think of an excuse...

"You know you shouldn't be in here." Chase said entering. He sensed her fear turn to anger as well as many other emotions. He was finally a master of the force, every quake and shiver she gave off felt like tidal waves hitting a shore. "You need to be careful," Chase said walking to the one of the statues on the wall. "Its charmed to report everyone who comes in here without permission and get them in trouble." Trying to predict her next question he quickly says, "I've cloaked us at the moment so it can't sense us but we need to hurry it will soon realize its being fooled." Chase turned to leave and beckoned her to come.
