Having taken a piece of advice left by an anonymous visitor to the C-Box, I have placed an ad on ProBoards Support and hope to see an influx of new members in the near future. If this works, the icing on the cake would definitely be to see some of our original members return; especially those from the previous sites and those whose characters are important to the storyline, though I will most likely be deleting permanently inactive accounts and, if they are for canon characters, be putting those characters up for adoption. I sense a serious revamping coming up, ladies and gentlemen. I hope to God we can revive Divided Worlds - and I want you all to be a part of it. Contemplation [Chase]

It had been quiet of late. An odd calm had descended over the wizarding world, as if the four factions waging war within it had suddenly called a ceasefire. It was certainly a welcome break from the endless string of skirmishes and Victor was more than relieved about this fact.

He found himself stood before the eerily calm waters of the Black Lake, the surface of which was perfectly still despite the doubtless active kraken lurking in the depths. The Dark Lord of the Sith was silent, arms folded across his chest as he pondered the days to come and the moves he was going to make. Pleasant as this period of calm had been, it was high time the silence was broken - and who better to do that than Darth Noctis?

Chase was walking through the woods on his return home from his last mission as a bounty hunter. He stumbled into the lake and all of a sudden he felt a slight feeling of evil drift down upon the lake. And as he looked up, there a dark figure sat on a rock.
Chase approached, "What is your name?" he demanded.

Victor sensed the boy approaching long before he got within earshot. His Force aura was unusually strong, but he was not Force-sensitive. Strange. When he spoke up, the Dark Lord turned his head to acknowledge the stranger's presence, but did not turn all the way to face him.

"Who wants to know?" he responded in a cool, almost melancholy tone. That oddly strong aura had piqued Vic's interest in this fellow. An attempt at conversion couldn't hurt.

Chase stood in awhh. Though Chase knew his origins as the great great grandson of skywalker and knew of his ancestors ablities, he had never felt such a power. He knew this was man was a force bearing creature that he would stand no chance against.

"I am Chase Skywalker" he said in a much easier tone acknowledging the power. "Sorry for my rudness, you startled me I..." He trailed off a second. "Your no jedi." He said strongly.

Chase couldnt believe he had just said that out loud it was dumb and foolish to say knowing that he was up against a far more powerful being. Chase was not weak but he was not strong in the force. He knew of its exsitance and could feel the rifts and disturbances but lacked the control. In fear of offending the man, and the man killing him for his insolince, Chase reached for his lightsaber (a gift from his grandfather before his death) and slowly back up waiting for a reply.

Skywalker, eh? That explained the Force aura; he was a descendant of one of the greatest Jedi Masters - and one of the greatest Dark Lords - in history. But this Chase had no training for some reason. Victor would be happy to do something about that; this boy held immense potential for obvious reasons.

The Dark Lord turned all the way to face this new soldier of his.
"Indeed, I'm no Jedi," he began, noticing Chase was backing off and eyeballing the saber hilt in his hand. "And there is no reason to be afraid. Why would I kill such a promising candidate? You have great power at your disposal, Chase; all you need is someone to teach you how to use it. I can be that someone."

A reassuring smile playing across his lips, Victor folded his arms.
"I am Darth Noctis, Dark Lord of the Sith... and you, my friend, could be the strongest recruit I've ever come across."

Chase relaxed his grip on the light-saber at his hip.

"Even though your not a Jedi, how do i know u can teach me."
Chase continued "I almost killed my last master. And now he believes that I was born to kill Jedi like my great great great grandfather Anikin Skywalker, and refuses to train me."

Chase could feel the dark lord reaching him with the force and knew this man was different. Chase could feel that this master could teach him and Chase wished to learn.

Chase bowed his head and knelt down. "If u can teach me and be patient with me, I will do all i can to learn. If u will take me, i will submit myself to thee." Chase took his saber from his hip and layed it on the ground in front of him, praying that this time would be different, that this time no one would leave him in fear and that this time he really would learn.

Chase almost seemed paranoid. Something big must have happened in the past to make him so wary. The good news was that the Jedi rejected him, and now he had pretty much nobody to turn to - except the Sith Lord before him. Victor was teeming with excitement at the prospect of luring a direct descendant of the legendary Anakin Skywalker to the Dark Side. Jacen Solo, Luke Skywalker's nephew, had brought the Skywalker legacy full-circle when he turned to the Dark Side and became Darth Caedus. It seemed history was about to repeat itself.

Victor remained where he was, watching silently with a hidden satisfaction as Chase bowed before him. Evidently, he'd made his choice when the Jedi turned him away... What fools.
"You have chosen wisely, my friend," the Dark Lord began. "I suppose taking on an apprentice will be a test of my abilities and a fitting way to ring in the war once again."

He turned to face the water, eyes scanning the surface. "Make your way to Knockturn Alley when you get the chance. I trust you'll find my Sanctum with no difficulty."
